Police Investigating Christmas Day Murder

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Richard James Aranda in Dangriga.

The incident occurred on Christmas night. Around 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a report at the Southern Regional Hospital, where Aranda was found motionless with gunshot wounds.

According to initial investigations, Aranda was walking near George Price Drive when two men on a motorcycle approached him. One of the men opened fire, inflicting multiple injuries.

Aranda was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. His body now awaits a post-mortem examination.
