Man Gunned Down in Cotton Tree Village

A Friday night shooting in Cotton Tree Village, Cayo District, claimed the life of 30-year-old Seferino Maas Pop.

According to police reports, Pop was sitting on his veranda with his wife around 7:36 p.m. when someone called out to him. As he responded, a barrage of gunshots was fired in his direction.

Police arrived at the scene to find Pop’s motionless body with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Western Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
