Official Report on Brandon Baptist’s Murder
Several shots were fired last night at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex. Gang leader Brandon Baptist was murdered.
Police have released the official report: “Police are investigating a shooting incident that injured three people and fatally wounded one in Belize City. The investigation began when police responded to a report at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 31, about 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they observed four men, 39-year-old Brandon Augustus Baptist, 37-year-old John Grinage, 21-year-old Cameron Williams, and 26-year-old Herson Mena all Belizean laborers from a Belize City address, suffering from gunshot injuries. Cameron Williams was treated and released, while John Grinage and Herson Mena remain hospitalized and are receiving treatment.”
Baptist is no stranger to the law. He was a known gang member. In a past interview with News 5, Baptist said, “I deh pahn the street for quite some while, I get caught up in the jail a lot of times. I was with the police. I always deh pahn news. Everybody knows me, Brandon Baptist, right?”
““Every time I try to do something positive, I fall back. But I still fight it,” he added.
