BREAKING: Dr. Gilroy Middleton Resigns

News Five has confirmed that C.E.O. in the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Transport, Dr. Gilroy Middleton, has resigned. Minister Rodwell Ferguson told News Five via phone, “My C.E.O. and myself had a very good relationship.”

According to Minister Ferguson, Dr. Middleton was offered a position at the University of Belize. “He believes that the package was extremely excellent, especially with whatever comes with the package.” Dr. Middleton will be working in Belize City, where he lives. While as C.E.O., Dr. Middleton commuted daily to Belmopan.

His resignation becomes effective on Monday, August 19.

“Normally, once a CEO leaves then another CEO holds over temporarily,” Ferguson said. His replacement has not been named.
