“Horse” Garnett Remanded for Abetment to Robbery

Well-known street figure, Jermaine “Horse” Garnett has been charged for abetment to robbery and is being held without bail at the Belize Central Prison tonight.  Garnett has been on lock down since August when he was swept up under the State of Emergency.  He was brought down to Belize City earlier today under a removal warrant and appeared before a magistrate.  It is alleged that on Wednesday, August first, Garnett deliberately aided Tyrese Usher to commit the crime of robbery.  Garnett pleaded not guilty to the charge and was further remanded to the Belize Central Prison until November seventh, 2024.
