Pharmaceutical suppliers support ministry procurement standards

In light of the ongoing debacle within the Ministry of Health, particularly where it concerns the recent appointment of Danini Contreras as Director of Drug Inspectorate, as well as the procurement of pharmaceuticals, a release has been issued by a collective of suppliers in support of stringent measures by the Ministry of Health to ensure that standards are being adhered to.  The group, which includes Biomeds Limited, Commerce Limited, M&M Distributors, and Belmopan Medical Laboratory, says it supports the procedures in the process of tendering of pharmaceuticals.  They are also prepared to provide copies of all certificates of Good Manufacturing Practices for each product provided to the public health system.  The ministry also has the backing of the companies for the consultation process in the development of a National Pharmaceutical Registry.

Most of these pharmaceutical suppliers are full of it they are buying inferior medicines from places like India and China and most are not even real most of the Chinese pills are nothing but cement and this is what us belizeans are ingesting no wonder so many people in Belize die at an early age because when we think we are taking a certain pill for our illness we end up ingesting nothing but cement from china and India and this gov. And pm couldn’t care less wake the hell up belizeans.

Its hard to understand people we claim we beat ourselves on our chest theirs no job in Belize and if they do you need to have expierence on the field so how will someone havs experience if their not given the chance to show their full capasity?.. sometimes we dont realize that young people are more prepared in education speaking than experience people. Everyone knows their always something new in science, what you people prefer? A alien to have that possition or a born Belizean who has studied 7yrs in a university in her area yes she doesnt have experience but how will she have if we dont give her the chance common people lets see what she can do theb critize her on her work and not on her family background.

Medication out of India and China, to 3rd world country’s, puts the health care system in danger as Generics has no control. The US FDA, bands many plants in India and China for non compliance(ISO, GMP), for reasons to long to explain. Food production out of China and India, In the USA hard to find, as they do not meet GMP standers. testing for carcinogens, poison, food fillers, as well to long to go on. So the FDA blocks any food manufactured in china as testing is too expensive.
The level of cancer in the last decade in Belize has risen but i wonder if the unregulated food from china in Belize is the problem. ? Organic food is the best, people plant your gardens .
