Accused robber, Lincoln Sabido, is arraigned

A Belize City man from the Berries Street area of Saint Martin’s De Porres is tonight on remand at the Belize Central Prison after he was accused of robbing a Chinese Grocery Store on Tibruce Street of seven hundred dollars in cash and an assortment of items value three thousand five hundred dollars. He has been identified as twenty-nine year old Lincoln Sabido. This morning, Sabido appeared before the Chief Magistrate and was read four criminal offenses for Robbery and three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon upon Randy Smith, Garret Casimiro and Desuo Li.  Allegations are that on April twenty-ninth, 2014, robbed storeowner, Desuo Li, of a laptop computer, two cell phones, cigarettes and cash. Sabido pleaded not guilty and told the court that he had asked the police to put him on an identification parade, but that was refused. He was remanded into custody until August eight, 2014.
