Steven Buckley is hauled back to court; this time for drug offenses

Steven Buckley

Remember Stephen Buckley? He was awarded a sizeable settlement after he was shot multiple times to the head by an inspector of police which left him unable to work. Well today, the forty-two year old, together with six others, including his wife, were before the court today after being charged for possession of a controlled drug. Buckley was arraigned before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stewart this afternoon and read a single count.  He wasted no time and pleaded guilty to the offense.  According to Buckley, he was found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana, rolled up in what is known as a roach.  Using his fingers he showed her what the quantity amounted to.  The former construction worker, who was near fatally shot by police a few years ago, was busted this morning at his residence on George Street where a team of officers was searching for guns and ammunitions.  Additionally charged were his common law wife Juanita Juarez and her seventeen-year-old son, along with four other young men.  They were offered bail in the sum of seven hundred dollars each and one surety of the same amount.  Another case for possession of drug paraphernalia has been adjourned to May twenty-ninth.
