KTV Latino finalist robbed with gun and cement block

Thieves have become more brazen over the years and on Tuesday night; two robbers set their eyes on Doctor Jose Espat. Doctor Espat is the well-known finalist in Channel Five’s 2012 KTV Latino Competition. But around nine-thirty p.m., as he arrived at his house on Teachers’ Street in West Landivar, he was pounced upon by two masked men, one armed with a handgun and another with a piece of cement block. It is believed that the robbers lay-waited Espat inside this incomplete structure behind the house and as he alighted his motorcycle, he was hit him on the head with the piece of cement block. Espat reportedly fell to the ground and the robbers escaped through the Education Campus of the University of Belize with Espat’s god chain valued ten thousand dollars. Espat suffered a cut wound to the left side of his forehead. Police are currently investigating the armed robbery.
