Fire in Biscayne village
There was a fire on Tuesday afternoon in the village of Biscayne. An elevated wooden and concrete structure at mile twenty-seven and a half on the Phillip Goldson Highway, was gutted by fire sometime before one p.m. Police responded, but later realized that the building was unoccupied for some time and that the building had no electricity. The fire was extinguished by firefighters attached to the Ladyville Branch. A neighbor spoke to News Five today about the incident.
Voice of: Neighbor
“All I saw was the smoke coming from the house and a young man came and told us that the house is on fire. So I got in touch with the person at the green house so that nothing can happen. That’s all we know about it…hours between twelve-thirty and one.”
