Mexican Embassy offers scholarships

Marcelino Miranda

The Mexican Embassy on a yearly basis provides scholarships to Belizeans students to obtain graduate and post graduate degrees at universities and education facilities within that country. And as of today, a Special Scholarship Program 2014 has launched for Belizean artists, teachers, media personnel and artists to obtain degrees and certifications from institutions within Mexico.

Marcelino Miranda, Press Officer, Mexican Embassy

“During the year, we have different programs of scholarships; those go from technical education to undergraduate, postgraduate studies. So we are encouraging those Belizeans who are interested to come to the Institute of Mexico. In this case, there is a special program for 2014. Those scholarships are intended to include not only students, bit teachers and those people for example from the media who would be interested in having this fellowship—we call it a media fellowship in Mexico. Also there is an interesting program of fellowship for artists. So this is a very good opportunity for young artists in Belize to come to the Institute of Mexico to come and have a look at this offer. The call for application is open and the most important is that for those who are interested to keep contact with the Institute of Mexico because with that we can provide personal assistance in filling out the forms and in the end you have to submit those applications to the Institute of Mexico. I repeat this is just one program; this is the special scholarship program and it is intended for teachers, young artists, and people from the media. But also at the same time, we are encouraging those who are interested in any kind of scholarships in Mexico to come.”

The deadline to submit applications along with required documentation is August twenty-ninth.
