6 men including a minor busted in Ladyville for drug trafficking
A group of six, comprising five adults and a sixteen year old minor, was back in court today before Magistrate Dale Cayetano for drug trafficking after police found about four ounces of weed at a yard in Ladyville where the six were hanging out. The group spent two nights in the Queen Street lock-up because when they were taken to court on Monday, there was no family present in respect of the minor. Today, a social worker appeared on his behalf and the six pleaded not guilty. They are forty-one year old John Fuller Sr., an employee of Transparent BPO, twenty-six year old Errol Andrews of Belize City, twenty-seven year old Ladyville resident, Ruben Depaz, thirty-two year old Sanjay Rudon, of Belize City, thirty-nine year old Alfred Smith, and the minor. The minor told to court that he is doing construction work and is not in school and that in lives with his grandmother. The court ordered the social worker to do an investigation into the minor. Bail was offered to the men, but the minor will remain in the care of social services until his parents are located. Up to late this evening, only Smith and Andrews met bail. The next court date for the group is set for May twentieth, 2014.
