Darrington Lauriano Jr. arraigned in court

Darrington Lauriano Junior was busted at the parking lot of the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital on Monday morning by alert police who found marijuana and a firearm in a suitcase and knapsack he was carrying. Tonight, he is on remand at the Belize Central Prison for Possession of a Firearm, Ammunition and Marijuana.  He had no license for the firearm or ammunition and well, weed, that has still not yet been legalized so he has to answer to three criminal offenses for Kept Firearm Without being Granted a License, Kept Ammunition without being granted a Gun License from the ComPol and for Possession of a Control Drugs to wit, one hundred and ninety-six grams of cannabis.  In court, Lauriano Jr., appeared before Magistrate Dale Cayetano and pleaded not guilty to all three counts.  He further told the court that the last time he was profiled was at the age of fifteen years and he asked the court to be placed in another area since he has never been to prison, but he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison. Lauriano Jr. is from Belize City, but moved to San Pedro where he was shot on March eleventh. He claimed that when he was ambushed from behind by a gunman, he hid in a nearby yard from his attacker, but by then he was already injured.
