Andrew Augustine survived shot to the neck by gang member

Andrew Augustine

On February twenty-third, twenty-one year old Andrew Augustine was leaving his aunt’s house en route to his home on Balan Street, also in the Lake Independence area. But when he was stopped and searched by three of four officers on patrol in the area on Electric Avenue, a stick of weed was found on him. He was placed inside the pan of the pickup and told by the officers that he would be taken to the station. But instead, Augustine claims he was driven to and released in one of the most dangerous gang territories in Lake Independence… the PIV area which extends from behind BWSL to Complex. Further down Mahogany Street is rival gang territory that encompasses Lacroix Boulevard and the Gungulung area.  Augustine, although he lives within that area, claims to have no affiliation with any gang, but was made a target by the police officers who left him there dressed in a blue shirt. Augustine is alive to tell the tale of his encounter with death and shared that with News Five today.

I hope he is not seeking the pity of the public!

  2. NY says:

The officers who made the stop and search, should be charge for attempted murder. Some members of the BELIZE POLICE FORCE are very unprofessional; IN THIS CASE, it almost cost someone’s life.
