Former Traveller’s cashier facing 116 charges of theft

Rashida Kira Sedacy

A cashier previously employed at Travellers Limited will be arraigned in the Magistrate Court on Tuesday for a whopping one hundred and sixteen charges of Theft. Twenty-four year old Rashida Kira Sedacy, a resident of the Los Lagos Community, on the Phillip Goldson Highway, is tonight on remand because of the voluminous amount of paper work involved which could not be completed by the end of the work day.  According to the Court Administrator, court personnel’s were only able to complete charges for a period up to April 2013 and still have four additional months to process. The charges stem from a number of alleged thefts which began in January and continued through August 2013. The amount of money has not yet been totalled, but sources say that between January and July of 2013, there is over two thousand dollars involved. This is the second time that Sedacy has been picked up on the allegations of theft from Travellers Limited. In December 2013, Sedacy was first detained and questioned by the police after a formal complaint was made by the management of Travellers Ltd.  But she was released without any charges until March when she was picked up again and charged.
