Super striker Deon McCauley, now signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks in the North American Soccer League, is basking in the limelight of his crowning achievement, besting household names, including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the world’s lead scorer on the road to World Cup 2014. McCauley’s rise to stardom is featured on FIFA.com in a recent article which details his struggle to make it big in the sport of soccer. He was added to the Silverback’s roster a few weeks ago, amidst controversy over his release from the Belmopan Bandits. The exposé takes an in-depth look at McCauley’s history, particularly the eleven goals he scored during the qualifying rounds of the CONCACAF tournament. While describing his career thus far as a rollercoaster ride, McCauley told FIFA.com, “it feels really good to have my name up there with those big, no, those huge names from all the big countries.”
