3 men walk and a woman still on trial for the sensational murder of Raylene Dyer

Aracely Cahueque

Three men – Roaring Creek construction workers twenty-one year old Darren Banner, twenty year old Jason Anderson and twenty-four year old UB student Brandon Budna are free after being incarcerated since October 2010. On Wednesday, all three men were acquitted of the murder of Raylene Dyer. The tragic murder of eighteen year old Dyer shocked the nation. The young mother of a three month old baby girl was allegedly butchered and decapitated in a slaughterhouse in the Valley of Peace community before her body was thrown in the river. Despite an intensive search by authorities and Dyer’s family, the body was never found. One week after the alleged murder, Police had four persons arrested, and an already disturbing case became appalling. Based on confessions, authorities believed that a hit was put on Dyer, a UB student, by another student, nineteen year old Aracely Cahueque.

Cahueque is said to have paid Banner, Budna and Anderson to kill Dyer because she wanted to steal Dyer’s newborn baby Ravaan. All four were charged for murder, and the case is being heard in Belmopan this week. On Wednesday, the trial judge directed the jury to deliver a verdict of not guilty for Banner, Budna and Anderson. News Five understands that there were serious discrepancies in the caution statements given by the three men. The accused have maintained that the confession statements to Police were given under duress and those discrepancies lent credibility to the claim of coerced confessions. Cahueque remains alone to stand trial for the murder of her friend. Today, the court heard testimony from the CIB detective assigned to the case, as well as the Justice of the Peace who signed the caution statements. Sources tell us that the case should be wrapped up as early as Monday.

Belize prosecution & police could not convict an ant being an insect. Who fumbled the ball? prosecution or police? If Police, why did not prosecution figure it out years ago?

They are overpaid dumb asses, serving a country of citizens who could care less, and would not provide evidence of truth relating to a crime, just like most murders in Belize. We all know the facts, we live it everyday, we just don’t want justice in Belize.

GOB, Redeem your self, bust a rasta for a stick of weed, better a tourist. Vacationing in Amsterdam or Colorado is safer.

Meantime Cahueque needs to get back to her man of her desires, the pseudo-father of her pseudo-baby, and she needs to get her advanced education to raise that baby or some baby of a future another boyfriend sperm donor. Just let her go, what are the odds of making it stick?

as for the three acquitted, who want’s to be them? Cabinet possibilities, future Ali 40? Penner’s position might be open. Did the police criminally overstep?

Not looking good for the case of Jasmine Lowe. Hey, it is Belize, screw it. Wanted for murder, like Mello? They need visas, residency and passports; local criminals need bought protection just like the international market. Belize serves a money purpose for being the a$$hole of the world for nefarious characters.

This type of stuff puts drastic thoughts into the minds of normal law abiding people. I would take justice into my own hands if Raylene Dyer was even a distant relative. It’s the lack of justice that boils our blood.

  3. The Truth says:

You couldn’t have said it bettter….. Our system is Bull….. We the People have the fault for letting this happen…

  4. Coco loco says:

Stick to the topic… And she is not the baby mother. So what if it is Belize? Get out of the country if u don’t like it! Can you do better?

  5. family-love says:

i would like to repost ur message 4 d world to see we need JUSTICE!

  6. Ali BaBarrow protects his 40 says:

Coco loco, she is alleged to have killed the mother of the baby to get the baby, who she passed off as her baby. That is coco local and on topic.

Further, makes me wonder if police, prosecution or a jury are able to make a conviction in the Jasmine case. another high profile murder case that makes a lot of people wonder why have a police dept. in this case, this guy should have been in prison several times, arrested and let go. But hey, he is connected and has money. But we got that three time weed offender for 10 years a few weeks ago, food and board at tax payer expense.

Maybe you got the option to leave, but most Belizeans don’t have the option and have to cook in the soup.

  7. Elgin Martinez says:

What about the victim who was not only under duress but tortured by these criminals?

  8. kunko joe says:

    Belize people are stupid.
