SATIIM’s former finance officer charged for theft

In Punta Gorda, nine months after the theft of one hundred and ten thousand dollars was reported, an arrest has been made. Forty year old David Duncan has been charged for nine counts of theft which took place over a period of fifteen months at the offices of SATIIM, the Sarstoon Temash Institute for Indigenous Management down south. Duncan was employed as the finance officer at SATIIM when the cash could not be properly accounted for. Gregory Ch’oc, SATIIM’s chief, made the report to police last May that the monies had been embezzled from the organization in the period between January first, 2012 and March thirty-first, 2013. The investigation took months to complete until now when police charged Duncan, who is from Forest Home Village.

  2. Carlos says:

Maybe they need to investigate David Duncan more because he is seen driving a brand new ride and he changes them so often.

  3. r-dale says:

channel 7 reported that he was offerred bail at 10,000.00. It would have been great if he whipped out a SATIM checkbook and stroked a check to the court for 10k.

The Mayan organizations do recieve lots of outside founding anyone want to guess where from and why.

They really need to investigate him more find out why he is not working at Aguamar or Earth Watch anymore. This has been happening for over a decade now. He manages a resort.
