U.S. issues a statement on the murder of cross-dresser, Joseph Sanchez

Joseph Sanchez

Eighteen-year-old Joseph Sanchez was fatally stabbed by two men at about two o’clock on Sunday morning while en route to a party.  The teenager was dressed as a woman, clad in a white blouse and green short skirt, and was walking along Elston Kerr Street when he was attacked and mortally injured.  In the wake of the senseless murder, there has been controversy surrounding a motive for the killing.  While the family contends that it may have been a crime of passion, others in the LGBT community maintain that the homicide was in fact a hate crime.  Police, on the other hand, say that Sanchez was the victim of an armed robbery turned violent.  On Thursday, the U.S. Department of State issued a press release condemning the brutal killing of the transgender teen.  While there is surveillance footage of the incident, there have been no arrests made.  The Department of State, nonetheless, says it is encouraged by the prompt efforts of the Belize Police Department in investigating the crime.  The release reiterates that (Quote) “No one should be subjected to violence because of who they are or who they love.” (Unquote)

More US pressures of the wrong type-why don’t they stop meddling in our internal affairs and the rest of the wold’s internal affairs-rescue your own economy and pay off your triple trillion dollar debt.

  2. Beano in Ali and the 40, works says:

How come no US embassy comment on all the institutional gob corruption?

  3. Common Sense says:

Uncle Sam feels prompted to issue statement concerning this, but nothing concerning passports, visa and general corruption……see where the priority is, watch how they will fall.

  4. Rod says:

Stay out of our business. Gringos if you want to lay with homos then do it but do not try to make us get in bed also you need to mind your own business and start doing something usefull for a change.

  5. Hammer says:

First of all, sympathies to the family of this youngman…it is a sad thung…now…Trying to understand this..US Embassy issues a release on this death…but where were they when the 13 kids died at Karl Heusner? Where were they innocent people are abused and their rights violated?

  6. Uncle Benji says:

Aah, here we go again. The U.S. is meddling in our Belizean affairs and we are happy to accommodate them. We should not allow this.

Let’s remind them of their murdering ways. They have given the nod to Israel to poison the Palestinian waters, while providing Guatemalan troops with chemicals that are use against indigenous Indians in Peten. In the USA, Black people are dispensable. Rape crimes are solved by arresting the first black idiot found roaming the midnight streets. Poor people living on government handouts are fed powdered milk laced with chemicals that destroy their sex drive. If you are black, blue or yellow, they spy on you and yours.

In the 40s, the world had Hitler, today we have the USA. Same thing, same mindset, same murderers.

The LGBT community has been instigating and hoping such incidents will happen as this will draw attention and propel their agenda. Of the hundreds of people who suffer such faith over the years the U.S. Department of State has never issued such statement.

  8. Lincoln says:

“No one should be subjected to violence because of who they are or who they love.” ….likewise no country should be subject to military abuse because of their choice of government……

  9. jill says:

almost every week there is a murder in the city, so aren’t all of these murders reguarded as a hate crime??well they certainly aren’t love crimes, what i’m getting at is, let the police investigate, these gays just want to create a stir, when they don’t know the facts’ and why does channel 5 or any other media feel the need to interview caleb orozco’ he doesn’t know shhhh so why interview to hear an opinion. We also don’t need the america’s statement cause they like orozco and other instegaters….. Don’t know shhhhhhht

  10. bellizean says:

the US should issue statements about government officials & public officials who are involved in corruption and not be quick to jump on this kind of lifestyle.
people get killed everyday for whatever reason even if they didn’t deserve it it happens

  11. Tek Bak Belize says:

All crimes are hate crimes. Belizeans stop listening to these buzz words. is it a hate crime when a black inner city youth is gunned down? Was he targeted because he is deemed as black, poor and thus worthless? The LGBGT is trying too hard to make members of their group more special that others.

  12. GrigaMan says:

First of all, my sympathies go out to the family of Joseph Sanchez – no one should be murdered for any reason; however, I deeply resent the US for using this incident to promote their social agenda in Belize. We have so many things wrong in Belize right now (Corruption, Crime, Immigration, etc., etc.), but the US cherry picked this incident to comment on. I am not a homophobe; I believe that whatever two consenting adults do behind closed doors is their business, but it should also remain behind closed doors. The US agenda is to make heterosexuality abnormal; if you are not ‘L’, ‘G’, ‘B’ or ‘T’ from the “LGBT” spectrum, then you do not count. It is good to see that Belizeans are starting to see the meddling US for what it really is. Now if we could only get Belizeans to unite to fix the many problems facing us; let us start by replacing the 2-party system.

  13. Average Bzean Citizen says:

Was gonna begin my writings on the audacity of the US Embassy “Subtly” trying to push their own agenda down our throats, glad to see that Belizeans are all united on this front!

  14. Belizean Pride says:

Hi uncle Sam can you kindly mind your own business we Belizeans no need your help with this agenda causing more problems than what we need. So issue a next one about the wars in the middle east your gov. is causing and the millions of victims of war suffering. People open your eyes this agenda is a world wide and on the side of the president of the U.S is willing to push this agenda on his country, same way they’re trying to push it on ours, hell no.

  15. LOL says:

The US should be the last country to condemned killing…..

  16. Belizean says:

    J U S T G E T O U T O F B E L I Z E – AMERICANOS!!!!!!!! Haal out please! You nation is going down because of your left threaded ideas, clear up your own clogged and constipated gutter. Just bounce out!

  17. jill says:

this is the first time I see 100% of who commented are all in agreement, the gays where trying to create a stir but it hasn’t worked and for next time channel 5 or any other media want to interview caleb orozco wait until there’s a gay molestaion newsl’ see what he got to say about that!! Since he’s the gay police or the great gay hero! And america keep ur gay agenda within ur country because the destruction of the world begins with you. Call us homophobes call us narrow minded call us ignorant but we know right from wrong on another note hope the family get justice because nobody should have the right to take another person life.
