Cuban national caught at P.G.I.A. with fake Panamanian passport

A Cuban national was today busted on arrival at the P.G.I.A. with documents that purported that she was a Panamanian national.   Nairoby Aleyda Gonzalez Villareal who also goes by the name Deysi Reyes Avila and her son were caught with not one, but four passports. Reyes Avila who is a Cuban Mathematics teacher arrived on Tuesday from El Salvador, but by this morning the fifty-three year old was in court to answer to charges Using and Assisting a Person to Use a Passport She was Not Entitled To. Avila pleaded guilty to both charges and before sentencing she explained to the court that she has children living in the United States and that they cannot return to Cuba. She also said that she was not trying to live the American Dream but that she was only trying to get to the US to spend at least a month vacation with her children.  Magistrate Dale Cayetano ordered Reyes to pay a fine of two thousand dollars and a removal order which was requested and granted by Immigration Department. She was unable to pay the fine and was taken to prison. The Cuban national and her fifteen year old son were caught after she made a number of errors about her name and where she lived.  According to authorities, when Reyes-Avila entered Belize, she produced a Panamanian passport and while filling out information on the port of embarkation forms, she wrote her name as Nairoby Aleyada Gonzalez, but signed as Deysi Reyes.  She also made another grave error when she placed her permanent address as Havana, Cuba, and not Panama.  During the investigation, authorities also found four Cuban passports and identifications cards belonging to the duo. Reyes-Avila told Immigration officials that she paid a total of three thousand U.S. dollars for the fake passports.
