Hensleigh Ryan Jones arraigned for the attempted murder of his father

Hensleigh Ryan Jones

On New Year’s Day, many families generally celebrate by spending quality time together. But on New Year’s Day in Ranchito Village just outside Corozal, thirty-year-old Hensleigh Ryan Jones shot his father in the head three times, following an altercation. Hensley Jones miraculously survived the ordeal, and was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where he is currently listed in critical but stable condition. Today, Jones was escorted to the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court because there was no magistrate in Corozal for him to be formally arraigned. He was charged with one count of attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm. He was then remanded to Belize Central Prison until March fifth, 2014, when he is to reappear in Court. There are no details tonight on the altercation which resulted in Jones trying to kill his father. They lived alone in Ranchito, but News Five understands that they had an extremely hostile relationship.
