Philanthropist organizing fundraising event for feeding program

Dara Robinson

Recognized philanthropist Dara Robinson is organizing a fundraising event this weekend for his primary school feeding program.  Billed as the first of its kind all conscious reggae party, Ras Dara hopes to collect enough canned goods and toys to distribute to needy children this Christmas.  He has put together an interesting lineup of well known deejays that will be playing various sub-genres of the wildly popular reggae music.  Dara is appealing to all music lovers to come out and enjoy an evening of positive, family entertainment.

Dara Robinson, Philanthropist

“Dis wahn be wahn reggae show weh it wahn still clean conscious and everything. You will get the new, the hard core, the lover’s rock; you name it, anything in reggae. It’s all in aid of the feeding program, like I was explaining to most of the people. Last year I had a lee Christmas party like for most of the kids where they eat and they had toys we I mi get. So this year I want do the same thing but along with party my vision is, I wahn raise or buy a amount of food and thing that everyone that come to the program can get a lee box of grocery to carry them through the Christmas thing. Same way d ask people if they come out, we will have two barrel at the gate entering the Birds Isle, one is for food and one is to receive toys. All we are asking is that there is no gun, no toys in gun. You come out and pay your 5 dollars entrance fee. The reason I pick Sunday is because it’s a family day. We ask the elders, to bring out the kids and you know family. Come and enjoy real clean and conscious reggae music with some of Belize top reggae selectas and I myself will be showing some reggae live show on the screen. It will be a fun day and I look forward for the people to come out well behaved, respect the event. Police respect the people and people respect the police. We come together with love, unity and togetherness fi wahn good cause.”

We need more people like this in the world today, go Dara I commend you!!! I left Belize too soon but was honored to have met you in person. One day I hope to jump on board and help you in a major way. I am the lady that was to perform at your tribute to Peter Tosh on his birthday. The concert had to be rescheduled due to heavy rains and I had to return to NY. Keep up your humanitarian efforts. You will get continued blessings!!!
