Charly Black in Belize for concert at MCC Tennis Court

Charly Black

Charly Black is becoming one of the most widely received and passionately influential artists of this generation. Born and raised in an area known as Rio Bueno, Trelawney in Jamaica, Black recorded his first hit in 2004. But it wasn’t until 2007 that his musical career took off when the artist brought his original tunes and music on the dancehall scene. He has done several concerts and performances in Belize and today, he is back after a year. On Saturday at the MCC Tennis Court, Black will be joined by several Belizean artists including Tanya Carter and Denise Castillo for a concert that will bring out music lovers. Black stopped by News Five studios to invite Belizeans out to the concert.

I am not trying to compete my career or my concerts with no other artists from Jamaica or no other artist. But I know these people and I know I have a lot of fans here and I am very grateful for them because I also put out a lot of work. I know that tomorrow night at the MCC Court, it is going to be very crazy. So biggest respect to all my Charly Angels; so make sure unu come out early. There are going to have a lot of other artists on the show like Tanya Carter and I don’t remember every other artists. Tanya Carter is a big friend of mine so big up Tanya. Yo done know mad thing.  Staying current is a thing about yo have to wise in the industry; yo can’t follow people, yo have to be original. To have your set a fans because whenever yo start follow-follow other artists, it is like people are not gonna have that same love for you like how they do. Being original is different from being a carbon copy. Member me come say any gial can’t bubble ina trouble and now a whole heap a artists come say bubble after.”
