Freelance writer, Roy Davis guilty of wounding

Roy Davis

Justice was swift this morning for freelance writer, Roy Davis, who is spending the night behind bars. Davis was found guilty this afternoon for the offense of wounding and he was sentenced and remanded to prison. The aggrieved party is Joyclyn McClari, who testified in court today that Davis punched her in her left eye, causing her to bleed profusely on the afternoon of April twenty-eighth, 2013 when she refused to give him any money from her boledo winnings. McClari testified that she gave Davis’s brother five dollars but told Roy that she will not give him any because he is mean.  According to McClari, that’s when Davis punched her in the left eye. In his defense, Davis gave sworn testimony from the witness stand placing himself at the scene of the incident, but saying that his hand came in contact with McClari when she turned around.  The Chief Magistrate told Davis this afternoon that she did not believe his version because of the injuries McClari sustained.  He will return to court on October seventeen to learn his sentencing.  This is the second time that Davis has been charged criminally. He was once charged for harm upon a Special Constable, which was later withdrawn. Davis has also been a victim and some years ago, he was jacked by two men who were convicted of wounding and robbery.
