Rapist charged with wounding

Thirty-six year old Shirley Lambey-Arnold, the wife of Michael ‘Crazy’ Arnold, who is currently serving time for rape, has been charged with wounding.  The arraignment follows an incident during which she allegedly threw a stone at an ex-boyfriend, accidentally hitting another woman.  It is reported that at about nine-thirty on Tuesday night, Lambey-Arnold was engaged in an altercation near the foot of the Pound Yard Bridge when she tossed the object at her intended target.  The stone inadvertently struck Fay Pollard, who was passing by at the time of the fight, on the left elbow.  As a result of the injury, Pollard visited the police station and reported the matter.  In court this morning, Lambey-Arnold, who was unrepresented, appeared before Magistrate Leslie Hamilton.  The Honduran national, who has a previous conviction for aggravated assault upon a police officer, threw herself at the mercy of the court to avoid prison.  Magistrate Hamilton imposed a non-custodial sentence and fined her six hundred dollars, plus cost of court which she must pay by the end of September.  In default, Lambey-Arnold will serve six months at the Belize Central Prison.
