Woman pleads for help for ailing friend

And in a reversal of that story, a Belizean woman is in urgent need of medical assistance outside of Belie. Rosita Williams is in need of urgent medical assistance aboard for an operation to assist her with her speech. According to information received, she had complications and some five years ago went to the Karl Heusner for an operation and since then a tube has been attached to her throat.  She is in desperate need of a follow up surgery…that’s money that she does not have and is unable to come by. And following a frightening experience this past Sunday, Williams with the assistance of a friend is now turning to the public for help. She needs over ten thousand dollars for the surgery and today, Bernadine Cattouse, her friend for over thirty years, pleaded for assistance on her behalf.

Bernadine Cattouse, Seeking Medical Assistance for Friend

“I met her Friday and took her home to my house because she didn’t have no way to go and she says that her kids isn’t taking care of her. She has nine kids, let me make that clear. I don’t know what is the problem with her kids so I can’t say anything. I took her home to my house and I take care of her from Friday. I asked her if she has gotten any help from five years ago. She said no. So I said to her I will try my best to go to all the media to get her some help to go outside to get back her voice. It would be very to hear her voice once more because for five years and you are not hearing her and that’s what I want to do for her. One more thing. The thing is that she nearly died on me Sunday. We were home getting ready to go to church and she went to take a shower and she lost the one. She has an old one before she replaced this one and I had to rush her to the emergency room to get a new one and I think that is very terrifying.”

Cattouse says they can be contacted at 621-5932 or persons can deposit money donations into Saint John’s Credit Union account number 2-8-7-5-4.
