Jamaican transvestite beaten, chopped and killed

In Belize, the battle with the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT) community, is taking place at the Supreme Court. UNIBAM’s Executive Director, Caleb Orozco is leading the charge to have the laws amended so it would be legal for same sex relationships. A Jamaican national is also hoping to challenge both Belize and Trinidad governments at the Caribbean Court of Justice. Maurice Tomlinson is challenging the immigration laws of the two countries that allow officers to bar gays from free travel. But tonight, the United Nations is commenting on a murder that has caused sadness and fear in the LGBT community in Jamaica. On Thursday, a seventeen year old transvestite, Dwayne Jones, was murdered by a mob. The youth was wearing female clothing and dancing with another male at a party. He was recognized by a woman who reported to other party goers that he was in fact a male. The patrons then beat, chopped and stabbed the teen to death. His body was dumped in bushes and discovered early this morning. The United Nations in Jamaica has since promptly sent out a press release condemning the murder. The U.N. is calling on the police to spare no effort in bringing the perpetrators to justice and it hopes that the perpetrators are caught. The UN says that Jones is only the latest in a long line of individuals assaulted and killed because of their sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.  The UN Resident Coordinator Arun Kashyap also said, “The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has launched the Free and Equal campaign designed to raise awareness of homophobic violence and discrimination, and promote greater respect for the rights of for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality.”

  1. GOB=criminal says:

Let me guess who is in this mob:
men who beat their wives, real tough guys who pray in church, talk to God.
So next time they are at church speaking in tongues, will it be a sin to kill homos, or will their minister thank them? WWJD?

Personally I am hetero, what homos do in their bedroom does not bother me.
But for these religious nut cases to talk about abominations warranting murder, mutilation and mayhem, they seem to forget eating pork was a capital offense just like men being homos. Nothing said about women being lesbians, but who cares, back then women were property just like dogs and sheep.

GOB is using this issue, mainly by letting it build to become out of control, as a smoke screen to their criminal conspiracy to plunder the country.

  3. Bulba Martinez says:

Sorry that this had to happen to this individual and condolences to shim family. I don’t care about another person’s sexual preference as long as he/she keeps it on their side of the Fence. For this individual, wrong place wrong time. People be very careful not to judge!

  4. Concern says:

Crime of this nature against anyone is bad and should not be condoned. It should never be condoned anywhere in the world.

  7. Belizean says:

For all I know, I think the gays and trans people purposely did this thing so as to draw sympathy from the media. They are evil, and they will do a lot of evil crap to get their way.

  8. dog says:

Its only the beginning,, whilst indeed, practice your nastiness in your back yard and who the F—– care what and who you,,, want to be that way then of course we won’t allowed you to bring out in the public, ‘cus it will nasty as well

  9. bob says:

He should of went among his kind, he was dancing with another man pretending to be a female.

  10. Suicide7 says:

Sad that this happen. I don’t justify the actions taken in this situation; however, these people need to take precaution with their preferences. Jamaica is one of the most anti-gay country, now, going in public and dancing with a guy who clearly wasnt aware that he was dancing with a gay is playing with fire.. Belize should adapt the Russian legislation that bans any homosexual propaganda and agenda.

  11. Belizean says:

Amen to @Suicide7..Here is more: The sick an unnatural antics of sexual deviants is not confined to the bedroom. No, these deviants force others to accept and endorse their perversion. The very fact that people like you(LGBT) pretend to be God and mock those who actually follow His word is proof that everything in your post is a LIE.
