What’s that smell? Marijuana in inmate’s tennis, of course

Trevor Jones

Twenty-year-old Trevor Jones, an inmate at the Belize Central Prison, will have to spend a longer prison term and pay a hefty fine. Jones has been sentenced to an additional six years in detention and ordered to pay a whopping twenty thousand dollars, following the discovery of two small quantities of marijuana concealed in the soles of his tennis shoe.  At about nine o’clock this morning, prison officer Eric Cano, conducted a search of Jones which yielded two separate parcels containing a hundred and nine grams and a hundred and twenty-five grams of the drug.  In court, the Santa Elena resident, who appeared unrepresented, pleaded guilty to the offense.  In mitigation, Jones asked Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer to allow the extra sentence to run concurrently since he did not waste the court’s time and pleaded guilty.  That request was granted and he was sentence to a further to three years along with a fine of ten thousand dollars for each of the offenses.  That stiff fine should be paid by the end of October or in default Jones will be sentenced to an additional three years on each count.

give this clown 40 years, 60 when he gets out.
then he can contribute to society and pay taxes.
this fools problem is that he is not a murderer, then he would not be in prison.

when the smart trend is moving toward legalizing or decriminalizing,
GOB needs to get behind, very far behind the trend,
capital punishment, or at least castration.

Nice, a prisoner can tell the court how he wants to serve his sentence and the court says ok. Wow, who is sailing boat, The criminals are smarter than the so called ” legal minds”. Sad situation.
