Corpse floating in Macal remains unidentified

Details remain sketchy but this afternoon, a body was found floating in the Macal River. According to San Ignacio police, around two-thirty officers were called to an area along the riverbank between the Hawkesworth and diversion bridge. Drifting in the water was the corpse of a Hispanic man wearing blue short pants and a green t-shirt. He appears to be in his mid thirties, five foot six inches tall, with long hair. Investigators tell News Five no identification was found on the deceased but there is a dagger and the word “LUCKY” tattooed on his left arm and twin hearts on his upper right arm. Law enforcement officials have been notified of the discovery but no missing persons in their files fit the description of the corpse. If you have any information that may assist police, please contact the nearest station.
