Two arrested for cocaine trafficking

A tip-off has resulted in the arrest of two cousins over the weekend after they were caught with a significant quantity of cocaine. The incident unfolded in the area of San Roman Village between Orange Walk and Corozal Town. Corozal police report that around six on Friday evening they intercepted Teodicio and Fortunato Pott on the Northern highway as they travelled in their vehicles described as a white Isuzu pickup and a red Geo Prism. Both vehicles were searched and while the cops did not find drugs in the car, the pickup yielded almost five and a half pounds of coke packed in two parcels wrapped in a black plastic bag. The Potts, who are residents of San Narcisso Village in the Corozal District, have been charged with drug trafficking. Police have also impounded both vehicles.
