Delivery man robbed of everything

A nineteen year old delivery man of Chon Saan Palace in Belize City was robbed at gunpoint just after eight on Wednesday night.  It happened when Daniel Lopez made a food delivery at a house located at the corner of the George Price Highway and Vernon Street. When Lopez arrived at the house, he handed over the seventeen dollars worth of food, but was told that the person who had ordered it had just gone to the store. According to Lopez, shortly after, a man wearing a mask came running from the direction of the cemetery and placed a handgun to the left side of his face. The man, who had received the food, also pulled out a hand gun and pointed it in the direction of Lopez. It didn’t end there and Lopez was relieved of his cycle, cash and personal items. He was then dragged under the stairs of the house and was told to lie face down and count to a hundred and that is when the culprits drove off on Lopez’s cycle.

Every person who ordered needs to give a valid phone number so the business house could call back that number to validate the order and keep a record of the number for future reference. Since all home, business, & cellphone numbers are trackable, it would be easier to deter such crime. And do not accept orders from a public paid phone.

Bad day for the poor delivery man. That can be a dangerous job for not enough pay.

Armed robbers need to spend the better part of their lives in prison.

Nice suggestion but it take up the operating cost of the restaurant and the cost of food delivery and/or food or both…crime is really making us pay in more ways than one.
