Rosewood cache found

There was a scare earlier today that another container or possibly two of rosewood had been detected up north. The report is that the containers were discovered in Carmelita, Orange Walk. When we checked, we were told that a team from the Ministry of Forestry will be deployed to Carmelita on Thursday to confirm the information.   But what we can confirm is that in Punta Gorda, a small quantity of rosewood was found in Blue Creek Village. It comprised of twenty flitches that have been confiscated by forestry officials; who will also be investigating who is responsible for the extraction of the precious wood for which there is a moratorium in place.

    1. Will the Orange Walk rosewood containers still be there when the law arrives? Not if Gapi has his way.

    2. 10 years in prison for every tree cut illegally, for all concerned — loggers, truckers, customers, masterminds.

    3. Forest people, Mayans, get out there with your licensed firearms and patrol to protect your trees, make citizen’s arrests if you catch loggers alive.

Well what is the chief waiting for? Bring the lighter and the fuel. This is the only answer to sustainability these people have these days!
