John McAfee, his life story continues

John McAfee…depending on your particular perspective he’s anything from a lovable rogue to a nuisance to a devil in disguise or a demented lunatic. Whatever he really is, and nobody is quite sure, he captured the attention of local, regional and foreign media for almost a month as he led Belize Police on a merry chase before heading for more welcoming climes in Guatemala. He was taken into custody there but released just long enough for him to make his way home to the good old USA. While many probably said good riddance, McAfee is not quite done and will be regaling a reporter from NBC with his exploits. Here’s a sneak peek.

  1. Eye in the Sky says:

At first I was on McAfee’s side but the more I know about him the more I know the man is really

  2. Gone fishing says:

Make an indictment and go for extradition.

Considering the GOB track record for prosecutorial success, why bother?
Could be a useful circus to divert public attention.

  3. Orlando says:

This guy running around from one country to another and made a complete fool of the Belize Police Force. Let’s take a look at where he was living and the size of the area (hardly the size of a football field) yet he manage to hide and get his message across to the media. Does Belize lack the force or he had someone in law enforcement that was welling to help him escape? He sure have nothing good to say about Belize and it’s people and that is a slap in the face!

  4. Bear says:

@Orlando, I assume McAfee heard everything the police were doing, since he donated the radios to them, and I’m sure he held back one or two just so he could listen in. Maybe I’m just too suspicious.

I hope ComPol Whylie puts some smart new eyes on this case. Every murder victim deserves justice.
