Scouring for evidence where 4 men were gutted

The area surrounding Dean Street and Plues Street remains under heavy police guard tonight. This evening, the crime scene where four George Street gang members were massacred was re-visited by personnel wearing K.H.M.H. scrubs and the police looking for more evidence into Monday night’s mass murder of Keino Quallo, Albert “Long John” Fuentes, Leonard “Ghost” Meyers, and Anthony “Heads” Perez. They entered the building through the backdoor, close to where the bloody body of Fuentes was found. Police have already said there was no forced entry from the back door of the apartment building where the gang affiliates were living. The police offered no comment on site today, but on Tuesday morning when the bodies were first found family members and many others entered the building and likely contaminated the scene even before the police got there. The autopsies on the four were conducted today and we’ll have the families’ reactions on the cause of death later in the newscast.

KHMH scrubs with mask and head wrap more than a day later after relatives journalists onlookers trampled all over the place. totally ridiculous, this is a show for the news no investigative protocol, waste of time and money where is the fancy van and all the equipment donated by the US a few weeks ago.

  2. Storm says:

@Ridiculous, your every word was right on.

ComPol Whylie desperately needs to get training for the entire police force, so they know what evidence is, and how to preserve it.

I’d also like to see every officer have a digital recorder, they’re very cheap, to record witness statements and confessions. We’d see a lot more convictions with indisputable recordings. And digital cameras widely deployed, too.

  3. Al says:

@Ridiculous and @Storm, you are both rigt on. The police need to educate the Belze people to not go tramping through crime scenes, if they want cases to be solved. Police need to set up parameters around crime scenes and keep the people at a good distance away. The public need to know they can even leave there own DNA and shoe print at crime scenes that with good police work could make them supect.
I thought that a few years ago the Houston Police Department gave the police digital recording equipment. Belize people are so hardheaded, they see things one way an toally without reason. What I want to know is why Mr Yorke was at the apartment so early and discovered the bodiies.

When I think of how backwards my country has become I want to break it down and start over. My son who was a Police Officer in the US is amazed when he reads the news. He is ready to come and help. I told him don’t bother they won’t receive the help. So sad but true.

  4. Seletar says:

Al, I’m sure you’re right, that outside help would be wasted with the present GOB. I suspect they like the country going form one crisis to another, so they have excuses for failing actually to do anything smart and constructive. “Never let a crisis go to waste,” I remember hearing some American politician say.

But we do need a lot of outside help training — and I wouldn’t mind some outside leadership. If we have anyone homegrown who is competent, honest, and willing to do the job, I haven’t heard of him yet.

We’ll live in purgatory like this until the people take over and shake off the corrupt shackles of UDP and PUP both.

I have never see that done when honest peace-loving citizen were murdered by the gangs…why is it done for these gangmembers?

  6. Maya says:

Its always the same case with these crimes. Crime scene get trampled all over but don’t worry becasue PM Barrow says he was assured by the gangsters during their meeting it was not gang related. I cannot begin to explain how disgusted this pm is. Its a crime towards hard working and peaceful Belizeans for the pm to be so stupid.
