Ranguy in court for killing mother, sister and step-father

Jared Avery Ranguy

The man accused of the brutal murder of his mother, sister and stepfather in Ladyville was in court today. Twenty-six year old Jared Avery Ranguy has been behind bars since November twenty-second, when he was arraigned. He appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith this morning. But since his case is recent, there was no discussion of disclosure and he was further remanded to the Belize Central Prison until February twenty-second. In the wee hours of November twenty-fifth, 2012 Cancer survivor, Karen Skeen Vellos, her husband Robert Earl Vellos Senior and her daughter, Teena Beth Skeen were attacked at their house on Mirage Road in Ladyville. All three were shot in the head while Karen was also stabbed. Police initially believed that it was a home invasion when they responded to calls made by neighbors who heard screams coming from the house. But when the cops arrived, they found Jared, nude and kneeling on the floor with a machete in his hand. He told them that his mother, sister and step-father were inside the house and that they were hurt. He claimed there was a home invasion and that the culprit forcibly got past him and murdered his family. Evidence gathered in the house, however, told a different tale as Scenes of Crime personnel found a bag of items including a bloody t-shirt, firearm and other items believed to have been used by Ranguy in the execution style murders of his three family members.

A sad case, but let’s get on with it. Justice delayed is justice denied — and the people of the nation deserve justice.

  2. Juste says:

    Hang him!

  3. Justice says:

Hang him as soon as possible.

Another human animal goes to jail for murder.

Another case of self/victimization, rule by laziness.
