Warrior and minor aggravated burglary charges

Eighteen year-old Jamel Warrior, along with a seventeen year-old minor, were jointly charged for aggravated burglary, following a break-in at the residence of Li Cheng Luo, proprietor of 88 Shopping Center on Neal’s Penn Road.  The duo is accused of entering Luo’s home on January fourth, and stealing over seven thousand dollars in items, including computers, iPhones, wallets, driver’s license, as well as bank cards and Korean currency.  Quick police work has led to the arrests of three other men, including twenty-year-old Michael Alvarado, who was charged with abetment to commit the crime of aggravated burglary.

The group appeared unrepresented before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith in court today, where both Warrior and the minor pleaded not guilty.  Gilbert Wade and Ladrick Bell were also charged with separate counts of handling stolen goods.  Warrior and the minor were remanded since they committed the offence with a firearm.  Alvarado was also remanded to prison after the chief magistrate upheld bail objection.  Bell and Wade were granted bail in the sum of a thousand, five hundred dollars each and are due back in court on February twelfth.
