David Price, D.F.C. Inquiry Chairman, dead at 55

Story PictureHad he died a year ago David Price would have been fondly remembered for his many contributions as a veteran teacher, principal and intellectual. That impressive career, however, was only preparation for what could only be called a rendezvous with destiny as Price was selected to chair a Commission of Inquiry which investigated the demise of the Development Finance Corporation, a bankruptcy that also served as a metaphor for the shortcomings of a government that played fast and loose with the public purse. News Five’s Janelle Chanona has covered those hearings from the start and files the following report.

Today family and friends are mourning the death of fifty-five year old David Price. Reports are the veteran teacher passed away at a Cuban medical facility just after ten Belize time on Tuesday night.
