Burglars have a busy week

While the victims in that scheme no doubt feel violated, several home owners share their pain as their physical property was also treated with irreverence. The spike in burglaries continues unabated and three more incidents have been reported to police in the past two days. On Wednesday, night Police Street resident Ana Ortiz, was the victim of an armed home invasion. Ortiz says that at around seven-thirty, she was in her house with her two sisters and five month old baby, when she saw three men with their faces covered standing at her front door. Two of the three were armed; one pointed his firearm at her and demanded that they covered their faces. Fearing violence, Ortiz and her family complied and the two other assailants searched the house. After the thieves left the house, she found that they took a Nintendo 3DS game valued at seven hundred and ninety-nine dollars along with other small items.

The other two incidents occurred in Cayo on Thursday. Sixty year old American National, Skip Billings, says that a house near Bullet Tree Village for which he is the caretaker, was broken into between eight-thirty and ten a.m. The burglars stole assorted tools and equipment valued at ten thousand, eight hundred and forty dollars; all property of Jesse Loving, who lives in San Jose, California. Police are seeking one man for questioning. And twenty-nine year old Sha Sha Ismeni Aguilar of the Hill View Area in Santa Elena Town has reported that between seven a.m. and seven p.m. her house was broken into. Electronic items and jewelry valued at one thousand, four hundred and fifty dollars were stolen. Police are also looking for one suspect in connection with this burglary.
