Postmortem examination shows security guard not murdered

Charles Gamboa

Fifty-three year old Charles Gamboa, a security guard stationed at the Agriculture and Natural Resources Institute (ANRI) mysteriously died at his post outside Dangriga Town on September twenty-sixth. His death came as a shock to the family because Gamboa, who has been working with the institution for the past eighteen years, did not have a medical history and rode his bicycle daily to the school to support four of his eight children, who are still in school. It is almost a week since his death and with the absence of a pathologist questions regarding his death remained unanswered until today when Gamboa’s body was taken to the K.H.M.H. morgue for a postmortem. The autopsy revealed that Gamboa died from a heart attack, but the family maintains that he was murdered as they believe he had injuries to his body. Immediately following the examination, Gamboa’s Sister-in-Law, Leolin Tench spoke with News Five about their discontent.

Leolin Tench, Sister in Law of Deceased

“We are not satisfied with it; not even the wife so she has decided not to talk to the media because at this time, she is not happy about the results of the autopsy.”

Duane Moody

“Why is that so ma’am? What do you guys believe happened?”

Leolin Tench

“We all believe that that is a brutal murder.”

Duane Moody

“Is there anything showing that there may have been foul play involved?”

Leolin Tench

Leolin Tench

“It’s a foul play because when we went to the hospital to see the body, I personally saw a stab wound, puncture to the throat and there were multiple stab wounds to the head.”

Duane Moody

“Stab wounds or cut wounds?”

Leolin Tench

“I would say cut because like he was bleeding from his left and right temple. Also, there was a cut over his forehead.”

Duane Moody

“So the doctor is saying that he had a heart attack and he feel and that’s what caused those injuries?”

Leolin Tench

“That’s what caused the injuries; that’s what he said. So we are not satisfied with it.”

It is a relief to hear that someone in Belize has died of natural causes, when God wanted to call him home, instead of being murdered. Death is the inevitable end of life on Earth, not so much to be feared when it happens naturally when God intends. RIP.

I hope the family can accept their loss, and understand that their loved one has moved on to a better place. I am sure he is more reconciled to it than they are.

White rum, coconut products and fried foods will cripple your mind, clog your heart, pop your viens in your legs and cripple your joints. Heart attack = dead man.

If he was killed on the job, then the company has to cough up $$$. Any good accountant wil choose the heart attack version. I would.
