“We have a lot of new attractions this year in addition to the commerce center, services, manufacturing and the traditional businesses that you have been out here at the EXPO. We have the Ya’axche Conservation Trust; they are going have a both displaying cacao extraction and in their booth, they are also going to have Maya Mountain Cacao which is a subsidiary group that makes local chocolate and it is very good. We also have the U.S. Embassy; they are a corporate group. They will be featuring Maya bags at their booth and these are bags that have been made locally.  We get a chance to see entrepreneurial activity at its best not only with the Y.W.C.A. but also with the Youth Business Trust. As you know they promote young women and men in start up businesses. In addition to that, we have the ICA Creative Village. This is something brand new that we are doing this year at the EXPO through a partnership with the Belize Music Agency and also NICH. And for the first time ever, we are going to have a fashion show. One of the designers that will be showcasing her designs is Rebecca Stirm. In addition to that; we’ll have music, we’ll have dance, we’ll have film with BAVIA. So it’s kinda hotch potch of different things that you can come and experience when you come to EXPO. In addition to that, those of you who have children, have no fear we have thought about the children. They can visit Karen McKenzie’s booth I believe. She will have a blow up house for children, she popcorn machine, bubble gum machine, trampoline. It is just an all around wonderful time for the family. Parents can go to Grace Kennedy, James Brodies, Madisco, San Cas and get whatever groceries, whatever deals they are looking for. And of course the cell phone companies are here.”

Gates open at eight a.m. on both days. On Saturday the festivities end at five p.m. and at six p.m. on Sunday.
