Bail for man accused of stealing motorcycle
Meanwhile, a man who allegedly stole from a security company, escaped prison—at least for now—when he was granted bail on a charge of Theft. Twenty year old Alaric Cocom is accused of taking a Meilum brand motorcycle that was parked in front of Priority Security Company on Freetown Road. The owner, Haitian National Jean Desire, reported that the cycle went missing on May thirtieth. It was later recovered in Taylor’s Alley where Cocom was arrested. He appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer and was charged with Theft and Handling Stolen Goods. Cocom pleaded not guilty to both charges and with no objections from the prosecution, he was released on bail of four thousand dollars. His next court appearance has been scheduled for August tenth.
