Security Guard says Tyrone Meighan pulled gun and fired shot at him

Tyrone Meighan

Eighteen year old Tyrone Meighan may have not thought much of the consequences of pulling out an illegal firearm and shooting in public, but he will have some time in prison to reflect on his actions.  This morning, Meighan; an unemployed resident of Banak Street, was arraigned before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stuart on charges of aggravated assault upon fifty-nine year old Henry Lammey and also for discharging a firearm in public.  In a report to police, Lammey reported that early on the morning of June second, he was performing watchman duties at AES on Cemetery Road when he saw Meighan walking through the compound.  According to Lammey, Meighan pulled out a firearm and shot at the guard dogs that were with him, but missed.  In court, Meighan who was unrepresented pleaded not guilty to both charges.  Due to the nature of the offenses, he was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July fifth.

Good — he’s in prison before killing someone, by the grace of God. We need harsher punishment for people who commit crimes with guns.

Like father, like son. I live around the area and so I know. What do you expect when his father was the same way. Bad influence and bad parenting by his father, Ellis Meighan, that’s what led to this. I’m sorry to say this, but if his sons continue in this trend, they will end up just like his father – killed.

In life as human beings we are quick to judge others without even thinking. As a society we condemn people without even knowing what it does to them. there is no way a security can say that this young man pulled a gun at him when there is never a security at that used to be AES compound. if they claim that he shot at the police why aren’t they smart enough to find the gun he used. they brought all their tactics and still to no avail. SIMPLY MEANS NO GUN WAS USED TO ASSAULT ANYONE! BUT to BMNJ what do you say when they become the victims do u have proof of what they do. the inflictions are evident when they shoot up their house do u hear police looking for or charging anyone for those? instead they pick them up when they are the victims. but u will have you day! and i hope that u say it the same way. their father is dead he has nothing to do with this u should be ashamed of yourself. KARMA for u.

Whatever @ neverjudgesomeone… Why are you trying to make this bomb look like a saint/victim. These brothers that always make the news. I saw them for myself taking advantage of a harmless guy for no reason at all. I was there when it all happen so I know what they are capable of. The time is near for them. I hope they can handle it as well as their victims does because “what goes around comes around” and “what goes up must come down” He needs to wipe that smerk off his #$@% ing face. God shall rid the world of Evil!

@unhappy if he is a bomb then all of you who judge him are bombs too. it’s people like you who gives no hope of ppl trying to change their lives. instead of judging them have u even think about ways in which they could be assisted in trying to change the lifestyle they are living. what do we as a society do to try to assist these youths that have gone astray? how do we try to get them out of that lfestyle and make them positive and successful youths in our society. but then again its easier to sit down and judge or condemn others rather than try to positively assist them in changing their way of life. one thing we must remember we all have children and we wouldnt want anyone to wish bad for them. have you stopped to think what people have done to them in the past that has them the way the are today? do u really know their situation? do u have any concern at all? but then i guess ur a just a heartless being praying for their lives to end. imagine God wasn’t this awesome person he is heaven’s gate wouldn’t never been an option for u. Yes they are brothers that always make the news but have u read all the news they’ve made esp in the last couple months? i guess not but then again since u don’t care it probably doesnt even occur to you that any human in their right mind wouldn’t want to be targets of gun violence. i guess u want to say that their mother deserved what she got too the other day when they went to shoot up their home for the 3rd time and their sister cud’ve been dead is on their hands. but its like u said what goes around comes you wishing someone dead it might be the same for u someday.
