Relatives of Anthony Mayen charged after a ruckus at his funeral
A fight broke out at Friday’s funeral of Anthony Mayen, a city car dealer who was gunned down last weekend. Today four of Mayen’s family members, including his brother, nephew as well as his sister and niece visiting from New York, were in court to answer to charges of Harm and Threatening Words. Darryl Mayen Senior and Junior, Christine Mayen and Devin Mayen were charged following a confrontation with Pauline and Jamilla Bradley.
All four defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecutor asked the magistrate to set conditions for bail granted to Christine and Devin since they live in New York and may be flight risks. Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer granted the bail and the next court date is set for September twentieth. In a report to police, Jamilla Bradley claims that at around three o’clock on Friday afternoon, she was standing in front of St. Joseph Church when Christine approached her and a confrontation followed.
According to Bradley, they fell to the ground while fighting and that’s when her friends, Olivia Palacio, Pauline Bradley joined in to assist her because she was being beaten by Christine, Devin and Darryl Jr. Police were called in to the scene and the Mayens were arrested.
OH MY!!!! This is sad!
