Brian brown turns himself in to face drug related charges

Brian Brown

After a week on the run, George Street don Brian Brown has finally surrendered himself to Belize City police.  Brown was wanted following a raid on his walled premises at Jimmy Dyer Street last Wednesday which turned up a significant quantity of drugs, money, drug paraphernalia and a bulletproof vest.  Brown, who wasn’t at home at the time of the bust, remained at large and when he turned himself in this afternoon with attorney Dickie Bradley it was to face a slew of charges.  Those charges are likely to include drug trafficking, possession of a bulletproof vest and possession of a bong.  News Five spoke with Police Press Officer Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood earlier today who told us about the arrest.

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer

Fitzroy Yearwood

“Brian Brown along with his attorney, Mr. Dickie Bradley, turned himself in this afternoon around one-thirty to CIB personnel.  Of course we know that Mr. Brown hasn’t been charged as yet because we are actually waiting for the officers from the Gang Suppression Unit who have his warrant and his charges for him.

“What are the charges that can be levied against Mister Brown? I know he was in possession of various quantities of prohibited substances. He was also in possession of licensed plates and bulletproof vests. What are some of the charges that can accompany this particular infraction?”

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood

“Isani, what I’ll do, I’ll wait until the officers have levied their charges and then I’ll release it to the public. I do not want to speculate on any charges because this man has already turned in himself to the police. So in all fairness to him, I’ll wait for the official charges to be levied against him then I will make it know to the public.”

It is also expected that once tests are completed on what appears to be blood stains on a sheet and ski mask, Brown may face additional charges.

Belize… do you now understand the incestual relationship that exist between a country governed by lawyers and country plagued by crime???????

Yes Dickie….. CRIME DOES PAY!!!! AND HEFTY!!!!!

It pays to be a lawyer of these criminals…..but to be able to be a “good” lawyer we need the loopholes in the laws to allow the “brilliant” lawyers to get their clients off the hook….. that’s where the politician/lawyer connection comes in…….

as a politician, the lawyer creats and allow those loopholes to exist so he can benefit from them later…… when he is the role of the lawyer…like what Dickie will surely do….

keep voting lawyers into government……and crime will continue to be a big business!!!

It will be interesting to see which judge gives Brown bail, and how he/she justifies it.

This fellow is notorious and should stay in jail until he has paid for every one of his crimes in full.

I hope the whole country focuses on this case.

Well some people are so ignorant in this life hmmm. A judger is a sinner and how do u know if he is guilty hmm was he there? Nope so what if they just don’t like seeing people getting head in life and want to bring them down by any means!!!!!!!! I believe that they planted those stuff in his yard. If the G.S.U. go about doing their work properly then they will have more conviction but if they do it in the wrong way without people home and sending chip with evidence after two hours of the search with 10 additional hours to set up shop, hours later want to bring in the media when they set up the scene how the want it hmmmm look fishy to me! They were actually pulling the gate shut from the media when they arrived earlier in the morning hmmm was that because they didn’t finish putting their stuff together yet! Just saying. Then they are saying that it is legal to search if you have a JP present. Ok how about if the JP wasn’t there like for several hours before the search and they got time to do what they wanted the JP to see!! hmmm soooo not a clean or should i say not a legit search at all! Expect that the evidence might not be admissible in the court! Hope he sue the government!
