Christopher Glancy ordained as Auxiliary Bishop

The new appointments at the K.H.M.H. and the B.T.B. could only be outdone by an appointment that truly comes from the top. Bishop Christopher Glancy was ordained to the Roman Catholic Diocese on Saturday. The ceremony, which was attended by several bishops as well as a large congregation, had all the bells and whistles. For those who did not make it to the ordination at Saint John’s College, it was aired live right here on Channel Five. Here’s a snippet from the ceremony.

Ordaining Bishop Azuto

“Grant, oh father, knower of all hearts, that this servant whom you have chosen for the office of Bishop may shepherd your holy flock, serving you night and day. May he fulfill before you, without reproach the ministry of the high priesthood so that always gain your favor, he may offer up the gifts of your holy church. Grant that by the power of the spirit of the high priesthood, he may have the power to forgive sins according to your command, assign officers according to your decree and lose every bone according to the power given by you to the apostles. May he please you by his meekness and purity of heart, presenting a fragrant offering to you through your son Jesus Christ through whom glory and power and honor are yours with the Holy Spirit in the holy church now and forever and ever.”
