Couple offers cash to pass checkpoint with marijuana stash
On Tuesday, May first, at twelve thirty five p.m., Police on mobile patrol in Santa Elena Town stopped and searched a black Nissan Altima, on the Western Highway. The driver of the vehicle was Richard Smith and travelling with him was Sandra Thompson. Thompson exited the vehicle and approached a police officer with an indecent proposal. She told them that she has some drugs in the car and that she would give him two thousand dollars for them to be pardoned. A search of the trunk of the car led to the discovery of a crocus sack containing the suspected cannabis. The cannabis amounted to fourteen thousand nine hundred and eighty two grams. Police arrested and charged Thompson and Smith for Drug Trafficking. Smith, a Belize City resident, is not the pastor from Belmopan.
Good job on the Police’s part…
Those are the few honest Police that do their work to the best of their knowledge and upholds their integrity to do the job…while the other corrupt Police might be vex because they were not the ones who came across these drug traffickers….or else they would have taken the money…at this times i will not say the names…
33 plus pounds of cannabis, that is a lot. Good job to the police, yes we need more like this police.
what a nice lady bribing the police, stepping out of the car and making a bold move, mein what are our ladies doing now a days? happy mothers day mom you’ll be in hattieville when you should be at home with your kids safely but lack of self esteem and manners have you bound to hattiville now.
