Michael Foreman Not Guilty of Murder

Michael Foreman

Twenty-four year old Michael Foreman was this afternoon acquitted of the October 2009 murder of Eddie Neal.  Neal, popularly known as Eddie Mac, was gunned down near the corner of Central American Boulevard and North Creek.  It is alleged that Foreman shot the twenty-seven year old once in the head after beating and robbing him.  In court today, prosecutor Kaysha Grant subpoenaed five witnesses to the stand; however, they were all unable to identify Foreman as the shooter.  Justice Herbert Lord then upheld a no case submission presented by attorney Nigel Ebanks, who indicated that there was insufficient evidence linking Foreman to the crime scene. The jury was subsequently directed to find Foreman not guilty of murder and the alternative charge, manslaughter. Despite the major legal victory, Foreman was not free to go since he is currently serving a five year sentence for attempted robbery.  On October twenty-fifth, 2010 he was convicted of a chain snatching following an incident in which he grabbed a gold necklace from around Angela Thompson’s neck while she was walking along Newtown Barracks a year earlier.
