Bailey Bailout? S.S.B. staffers urged to save C.E.O.

News Five has just obtained a copy of that February fourteenth letter sent to the S.S.B. Chairman Lois Young. It says “We are anxiously anticipating the return of our C.E.O., Mrs. Merlene Martinez and our Internal Auditor, Miss Denise Mahler. Through this medium, we would like to express our fullest support for their reinstatement…With respect to the external auditors’ investigation, we complied with the request of the Board by not making any public statement that would have prejudiced the process itself…It is a challenging situation where we cannot comment, clarify or give our opinion on this matter when our C.E.O. and colleague are being publicly humiliated and their characters slandered…we urge the Board of Directors to consider favorably the reinstatement of our C.E.O. and our Internal Auditor. These persons are exemplary leaders and have maintained an impeccable commitment and service to the Government of Belize and to the Social Security Board. They have our strongest support.  With much love, respect and humility, we appeal to the Board for its consideration” Unquote.

I thought you guys were saying that Lois wanted Bailey to stay. So it is actually the workers who want Bailey to stay and not the board. Now I “understand.”

What is the union saying about this? is this coming from the same union that wanted to strike the other day? this is the same lady that was causing ruckus among the unions and now all of a sudden she is exemplary and loved? The union should protect its employees and not allow Lois and no one else to intimidate them. Lets vote out UDP, that way we send Lois, Merlene and the whole crooked nine yards packing!

“exemplary”, “impeccable commitment”…from where? haven’t you seen the result of the investigation. Fire them and lets move on. The country has bigger issues to deal with..Lets not prolong this process. Interesting to see what our Prime Minister will say since he has publicly stated that he will “personally slay off the head of the monster’(corruption as in this case)

The investigation found them guilty. They wanted to use my hard earned money to get a free pass and not pay their loan. They are thiefs…plain and simple..and those who want them back are also as corrupt as they are. My God…these people are managing my social security money, the money i contribute every single week. If i had the choice..i would stop paying!!!

The employees should have no say in this. So what is the purpose of a board. Please I dont believe this crap. We all know that a lot of social security employees are afraid to get fired and far worst in this time of election. Please rem it sd but Belize only run of politics.

  6. Freetown GYAL says:

match the list of employees who benefitted by reducing their loan balance below fifty thousand against the list who is signing to pardon MS Merlene,” insider trader” Bailey. what you think
