Joan Duran, Curator, Landings 5
“Landings is to make artists that are already good, better artists, better persons, certainly better citizens of their own countries. The biggest success will be when all these artists that we have been working with them, three, four, five years from now, instead of being in New York making money, they are in their own countries, organizing their own communities and being, at least from my perspective, I’m trying to do since I landed in Belize in 1971 I think, just to make the place that I decided to be my base of operations in this planet, a better place for everybody.”

Landings Five will run until September fifteenth. The featured works can be viewed online at Belizean artists on the bill include Yasser Musa, Sean Taegar, Santiago Cal and Michael Gordon.
