Leonardo Ayuso arraigned for Orange Walk murder

The Orange Walk Police Station was packed today with suspects in the brutal murder of businessman, Rodulfo Pererra. Nineteen year old Leonardo Ayuso was the first to be formally arraigned this morning for Abetment to Commit Murder. Ayuso is believed to have been driving the getaway vehicle on Saturday night when Pererra was ambushed. At least six other persons are in police custody and were expected to be taken before the court today. But up to this evening, the men had not been arraigned. We note, however, that among them is the prime suspect in the Murder, whose name will be withheld until he is formally charged. Pererra arrived home at around nine on Saturday night after closing his store, Chitos, but he never made it inside to his wife and two children. That’s because at least two men were waiting for him and unleashed a barrage of bullets as he exited his vehicle. Pererra was shot twelve times to the head and abdomen. While police are considering robbery as a motive, the vicious nature of the murder raised questions as to whether it was retaliation since Pererra’s relative was charged for the recent murder of Dale Tillett.

its so disappointed to know that a innocent man is going to prison bc of lame police work this being done, in the investigation of boxie death. these #### police really must be more advance than the FBI to charge someone with the murder in less than a week…

How long it took to leve charges is not my concern. The real question is do they have the evedence to back up their charges?

  3. BC says:

I agree with CEO. But it is not only evidence that we need… we need PROOF!! We need to make sure without a reasonable doubt that this person or persons really committed this murder.

The only person charged so far is my cousin but if he did the crime, he needs to do the time. If he’s innocent, then we can only hope he is able to prove it. Knowing our police dept, whatever info they have so far has been beaten out of these kids, or to coin a phrase known to anybody who’s been in ‘pisshouse’…they have been “fatigued” until they vomit a confession. My heart goes out to his parents who have been here in the States ‘surviving n providing’ not knowing that their oldest son was becoming one of those ‘misguided youths’ we so often read about. Jah Jah is watching…

Don’t Judge least ye be Judged

Ok here is what I see so far, its called investigation for a reason. By all means if he has confessed on doing the crime he must do the time. Our govt is so corrupted in Belize its not even funny. I see guys that have killed police and walk free. I can assure you Leonardo must have admitted yes I drove the vehicle. Yes I was there, but I never pulled the trigger. Kids now of days are prideful, im sure he doesnt to give his friends out because again of retaliation. All I have to is police must conduct more work on this. Prayers go out to the family of Boxie and the Ayuso. Hang in there God knows the truth..
